Open due to continued growth, this role is seen as a bench position to move into an outside sales role. The company does have some planned retirements in the next few years. The inside sales position will have virtually no travel. This department at the company is very fun and is typically the ones planning team building events at the company.
o Act as a resource for customers and manufacturer’s reps worldwide, providing customer service and technical support in an effective, timely and pleasant manner
o Receive customer inquiries and review specifications, drawings and requirements to prepare quotations
o Follow up on open quotes and other activities in a timely manner
o Assist with mining and cultivating new opportunities including market research to define new applications and prospective customers
o Make contact with prospective customers to determine business potential
o Act as liaison between engineering / estimating and global sales team in an effort to complete the sales process
o Work with global Regional Sales Managers and other team members to maintain up-to-date information regarding status of customer activities in order to effectively serve customers.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. The minimum requirement is a high school education.
Candidates must have experience working in an industrial manufacturing setting whether in an engineering type of role or in a sales capacity.
